Dear foreign students studying in Tallinn in spring 2010!
I am writing to you on behalf of Estonian Sport Association.
We would like to invite you to an enormous international event, which is taken every 4 years and this time will be held in Tartu - the second largest city of Estonia - XXVI SELL Student Games 2010. *so you are lucky to catch it! :D
With more than 1500 expected participants, grand Opening Ceremony on the evening of the first competition day - May 21, rich cultural programme and parties after competitions, the SELL Games are like a small Summer Universiade of the Baltic region. The specially designed cups, medals and diplomas will be awarded to the winners, there will be a Mascot at the games with the name SELLIKE. Delegations of universities all over the world are expected to participate.
The program of the games will include the following 11 sports: athletics, table tennis, basketball, chess, floorball, judo, mini-football, powerlifting, swimming, volleyball, and wrestling.
The participation fee upon registration before April 21, 2010 (inlc.) is 25 EUR per day per person and upon registration after April 21, 2010 - 30 EUR per day per person. The participation fee includes floor lodging in personal sleeping bags and mattresses, catering 3 times a day and participation in sports and social events (if you don’t need accommodation and food, than the participation fee is only 10 euro per day). All participants must have the appropriate insurance to cover travel and participation, as they are not the responsibility of the Ogranizing Committee. The Organizing Committee will insure the first aid at the competition venues for all the accredited persons.
Please note the following registration deadlines:
Quantitative registration, including transferring of 25% of the
participation fee (and 50% of the hostel / hotel accommodation fee) February 21, 2010
Nominative registration, including mailing of passport photos April 21, 2010
Traveling form deadline April 21, 2010
But it is preferable if you pre-register the country, university and the number of participants already now (ASAP).
