IBH Lake Constance Summer School 2010

We are glad to announce you the IBH Lake Constance Summer School 2010 Program in German and in English, please take a look of our attachment.

Please inform your students about this interesting program of the summer school. Deadline of registration will be at the end of April. You can send us the registration of your students at my email: gabriela.cortes@hochschule.li.

We assure this a good opportunity for your students to have a wonderful start in the German language and a the great time enjoying this beautiful region at the Lake of Constance in the summer time.

The cost are moderate: 250 Euros course fee, 300 Euros for the accommodation. There is a contingent for just 120 people.

wir freuen uns, Ihnen heute die Ausschreibungen fuer die IBH Bodensee Summer School 2010 in deutscher und englischer Sprache (siehe Anhang) schicken zu koennen und bitten Sie um Verteilung/Versand an Interessierte, Partnerschulen, etc. Bewerbungsschluss ist der 30.  
April 2010. Danach koennen Aufnahmen nur nach Ruecksprache erfolgen.

Die IBH Bodensee Summer School 2010 richtet sich an auslaendische Studierende, die an Ihren Hochschulen im Studienjahr 2010/2011 studieren werden oder vorhaben, in naeherer Zukunft im Bodenseeraum zu studieren.

Am Prozedere hat sich gegenueber den vergangenen fuenf Jahren nichts geaendert. Auf eine Vorab-Kontingentierung wurde zunaechst verzichtet, die Plaetze sind allerdings begrenzt. Primaeres Ziel ist, dass jede IBH-Hochschule die Moeglichkeit hat, Interessenten nach Konstanz zu entsenden. IBH-Hochschulen, die definitiv keine Studierenden schicken, werden um kurze Nachricht gebeten, damit die Plaetze anderen Hochschulen mit Mehrbedarf zur Verfuegung stehen koennen.

Technical University of Denmark offers 4 different Summer University courses in 2010:

Chemical & Biochemical Engineering: July 12th –July 31st
Tele communication, July 26th – August 13th
Arctic Technology, August 2nd – August 20th

The DTU Summer University Program offers courses with instruction entirely in English language for BSc students of engineering or related natural science programs. Foreign students from the EU and from DTU partner universities outside EU are invited to come to DTU for a 2-4 weeks period during which they will follow one of the offered DTU Summer University courses. After passing the course the student is awarded a certificate and ascribed 5 ECTS study credits, which may be transferred to the students current study program.

Students from our partner universities can attend the course for free – they only have to pay an accommodation fee for 200 Euro. However, DTU has a number of scholarships to cover cost of accommodation for DTU Summer University Students.

DTU also offers a 3 week Danish Language & Culture Course, August 1st – 21st. This is for Exchange- and MSc students accepted at DTU. More information can be found on our website: http://www.dtu.dk/English/education/Summer%20University/Danish%20Language%20and%20Culture.aspx

The DTU Summer University stay comprises:

The Faculty of Informatics at the Vienna University of Technology invites applicants
from all countries to its "Vienna PhD School of Informatics". Application deadline
for courses starting in October 2010 is May 7th, 2010.

The Vienna PhD School of Informatics offers a three year programme with an intense
period of supervised study and research, culminating in the submission of a thesis.
The PhD School´s curriculum covers the five main research areas of the Faculty of
Informatics
*  Business Informatics
*  Computational Intelligence
*  Computer Engineering
*  Distributed and Parallel Systems
*  Media Informatics and Visual Computing

Each year up to 15 students will be awarded a scholarship amounting to EUR 1.000
per month, to cover the cost of living. Female applicants are explicitly encouraged to
apply. Preference will be given when equally qualified.
